Plot
C.K. Joseph is abducted at his first public speech following his appointment as Kerala’s chief minister by an enigmatic individual going by the name “The Commoner.” Commissioner Dev G. forms a special investigation team with the help of Joseph’s son, Noble, and ACP Ashkar Ahammed. After giving the authorities his picture, Mahi, the Commoner’s accomplice, is taken into custody. In the meantime, Vaavamani and the Commoner lead Joseph to their hiding place.
They emphasise that politicians only pay attention during elections and encourage the people to deliver letters detailing their complaints to the Chief Minister by putting them in a designated car at the hideaway. The car is filled with letters as the populace reacts with enthusiasm. After telling Noble that the kidnappers want to win over the public, historian Sivankutty brings himself up as the Commoner’s collaborator. When questioned by the police, Mahi, Sivankutty, and another accomplice named Sijo disclose that ACP Ashkar is also a member of the group.
The government and the police are greatly embarrassed when the Commoner, Ashkar, and their comrade Torpedo overcome the authorities during the police chase that follows the kidnappers’ attempt to recover the car.
Godson Ancharakandy tells Noble about the Commoner’s background. He was admitted to a psychiatric facility after experiencing mental health problems as a young orphan. Following his escape, he becomes “Ghilli” Bala’s right-hand man after succumbing to his influence. They stop the Oscar Brothers from transporting gold illegally, make money selling it, and eventually become powerful. The Commoner eventually takes over once Bala departs.
Noble learns that the Commoner uses a group of local youngsters known as the “Thalapathy Boys” to interact with the public as pressure rises on the investigating team. Advocate Mukundan Unni thwarts attempts to interview them. Noble is told by Dr. Frederick D’Souza that he suffers from a mental illness that results in severe responses to emotional disorders. Equipped with this information, Noble apprehends Vaavamani and Ashkar. When Mahi is slain, the Commoner’s attempt to save them is unsuccessful.
The Commoner gives Joseph an explanation of the kidnapping’s motivations at their last encounter: During the Commoner’s mother’s funeral, Joseph made crude comments about her and prevented his father from receiving medical attention, which ultimately caused his father’s demise. Noble saves Joseph, but the Commoner fulfils his father’s dream of becoming as powerful as the politicians by using Godson’s files to reveal Joseph’s corruption.Later, Radar threatens to exact revenge on Noble for Mahi’s demise. After being identified as Ram Damodar “Radar,” the Commoner is readmitted to the mental health facility. Bala stops the Oscar Brothers’ goons from killing him while he’s there. Oscar promises to exact revenge on Radar and Bala.
