P. S. Mithran

Biography:

P. S. Mithran is presently employed in the Tamil film industry, Indian writer and director Mannargudi is Mithran’s hometown, with the 2018 film Irumbu Thirai, he made his directorial debut. He then went on to make the spy thriller Sardar (2022) and the superhero movie Hero (2019).

August 2016 saw Vishal decide to finance and star in a project helmed by P. S. Mithran. He then cast Samantha as the film’s lead female character. In October 2016, the team signed Arjun to play the antagonist; the actor agreed to the terms without having seen the full script for the movie.

Editor Ruben, cinematographer George C. Williams, and music composer Yuvan Shankar Raja were later brought into the project. It was also disclosed that NJ Sathya and Neeraja Kona, designers, were in charge of the main actors’ movie costumes.

On May 11, 2018, the movie Irumbu Thirai was released to positive reviews from critics who praised its plot, screenplay, background score, and performances—especially Vishal and A superhero movie starring Sivakarthikeyan and Kalyani Priyadarshan in the key parts, was Mithran’s next project.

For the movie, Mithran worked with actor Arjun and music director Yuvan Shankar Raja once more Bollywood actor Abhay Deol made his feature film debut as the primary antagonist. On December 20, 2019, the movie debuted to a favorable review from critics.

Karthi will play the lead character in Mithran’s upcoming film, Sardar, which is currently in production.
