Baiju Santhosh Kumar is an Indian actor known for his work in Malayalam cinema. He began his acting journey in 1981 as a child artist in the film Maniyan Pilla Adhava Maniyan Pilla, directed by Balachandra Menon. Over the years, he has appeared in more than 300 films, primarily taking on character and comedic roles.
He gained significant recognition with his performance in the film Puthan Panam, directed by Ranjith. His portrayal of Stephen Achayan in Ente Mezhuthiri Athazhangal also received critical acclaim. In 2019, Baiju played a lead role in Nadirshah’s Mera Naam Shaji, alongside Asif Ali and Biju Menon.
Baiju hails from Thiruvananthapuram and is the son of Bhaskaran Nair and Thankamma. He married Ranjitha in 1995, and the couple has two children: a daughter, R. Aishwarya, who is a doctor, and a son, Loknath. He currently resides in Thiruvananthapuram with his family.
In 2024, Baiju was arrested by Kerala police on October 14 for allegedly driving under the influence of alcohol and rashly hitting a two-wheeler.
