Swathi Reddy

Biography:

Wathi Reddy is an Indian actress and television host who was born on April 19, 1987. She primarily appears in Telugu films, but she also appears in Tamil and Malayalam ones. Her appearance in the Telugu television program Colours, which was shown on Maa TV, earned her the moniker Colours Swathi.

She began her acting career in supporting parts before making her lead acting debut in the 2008 Tamil film Subramaniapuram. She received the Filmfare Award and the Nandi Award for Best Actress for her performance in the Telugu movie Ashta Chamma (2008). She also performed playback singing and dubbing in a few movies. Aadavari Matalaku Arthale Verule (2007), Swamy Ra Ra (2013), Amen (2013), and Karthikeya (2014) are some of her other well-known movies.

Vladivostok, a city in the former Soviet Union’s southernmost region in the Russian Far East, is where Swathi Reddy was born. When she was born, her father, an officer in the Indian Navy, was undergoing training in the Soviet Union to become a submariner. She was given the name “Svetlana” by the Russian doctor, but her mother later changed it to “Swathi.” Siddharth is the name of her older brother.

Her family eventually relocated to the Eastern Naval Command in Visakhapatnam, where Reddy spent the most of her early years. She attended St. Francis De Sales School in Visakhapatnam for her formal education. She relocated to Hyderabad while she was in the eleventh grade. She enrolled in St. Mary’s College in Hyderabad’s Yousufguda and earned a degree in biotechnology there.

After her EAMCET, she ventured into television at the age of 17 by hosting a show called Colours. Due to a positive response, the show was further extended and moved to the primetime slot. She went on to present over 150 episodes.
