Biography:

Shafi is an acclaimed Indian actor who has made a mark in Telugu cinema, Tamil cinema, and Hindi cinema. He received his training at the prestigious National School of Drama. Shafi gained recognition in the Telugu film industry with his debut film, Khadgam, directed by Krishna Vamsi, for which he won the Filmfare Award for Best Villain – Telugu in 2002.

One of Shafi’s notable roles was in the film Kamli, where he played the lead alongside Nandita Das. Directed by K. N. T. Sastry, the film received the National Film Award for Best Feature Film in Telugu that year. Shafi has also been honoured with other awards, including the Cine Goers Award for Best Supporting Actor for his performance in Chatrapathi, directed by S. S. Rajamouli, and the Bharathamuni Award for Best Supporting Actor for his role in Khaleja, directed by Trivikram Srinivas.
