Thimiru Pudichavan

Story:

Ganeshaa is the writer and director of the 2018 Indian Tamil action drama film Thimiru Pudichavan, which translates to “Arrogant man.” The three main actors are Vijay Antony, Nivetha Pethuraj, and Sai Dheena. Under the production company Vijay Antony Film Corporation, Fatima Vijay Antony is the film’s producer.

In February and March of 2018, production got underway. The film’s original release date of November 6, 2018, which coincided with Diwali, was rescheduled to November 16, 2018, to avoid conflicting with Sarkar’s November 6 release date. Critics gave Thimiru Pudichavan mixed reviews; they appreciated Vijay’s performance, the action scenes, and the cinematography, but they took issue with the screenplay.

Plot

Murugavel, a Virudhunagar police policeman, dedicates his life to serving his brother Ravi, a student. After a number of situations in which he attempts in vain to alter his brother’s thinking, Murugavel discovers that Ravi has become antisocial. In an attempt to live a better life, Ravi leaves home one day, and Murugavel is assigned as a SI to Chennai.

Murugavel learns while in Chennai that Ravi is connected to snatching cases in addition to other crimes, and that his brother works for Meesa Padma, a local mobster who exploits minors for his antisocial actions. Ravi recognizes Murugavel as a vegetable vendor, and Murugavel expresses interest in moving in with his brother.

Conversely, Ravi attempts to murder Murugavel by putting poison in the food that was purchased for him, but for three days in a row, Murugavel won’t eat. When Murugavel sets up his vegetable business, a police officer named Madonna shows up to demand bribes from other store owners.

Ravi arranges the next snatching operation at night at a location close to Murugavel’s store, where he soon finds out that Murugavel is a police officer. Subsequently, Murugavel follows Ravi across the city before murdering him in a shootout with the police.

Following this, Murugavel is recognized as a brave officer and given a promotion to Inspector, although he still struggles with occasional insomnia and high blood pressure. Murugavel chooses to confront Meesa Padma as part of his quest to resolve issues in the city. Madonna and Murugavel develop a romantic relationship.

Murugavel is slashed one day by two young boys who work for Meesa Padma. Madonna, who had predicted a nightmare in which Murugavel would be slashed, saves him and gets him committed to the hospital. During the last, dramatic battle between Murugavel and Meesa Padma, the young lads recognize their error and side with Murugavel as the people heading to meet him.

Meesa Padma is fought by Murugavel, who ultimately prevails over him. Murugavel receives a promotion to ACP following this, and after witnessing a hallucination of Ravi apologizing for his mistakes, he is at last at peace. Murugavel eventually gets rid of his sleeplessness, and when he sleeps, his blood pressure stays steady.
