Born September 29, 1975, Ravi Varma is an Indian actor renowned for appearing in Telugu films. He is known for his supporting roles and debuted in the Telugu romantic comedy film “Vennela” in 2005. The film was written and directed by Deva Katta and featured actors Raja, Parvati Melton, and Sharwanand.
Ravi Varma hails from the East Godavari District in Andhra Pradesh, India, but he was raised in Hyderabad from age two. After completing high school, he studied engineering at Chaitanya Bharathi Institute of Technology in Hyderabad. He then travelled to New York City to complete his master’s degree and secured a job at Rediff. While in New York, Ravi Varma attended a three-month New York Film Academy course.
In 2005, Ravi Varma was offered the role of Syed in the film “Vennela,” which marked his debut in the Telugu film industry. He later made his Tamil debut with “Sathya,” a remake of the Telugu film “Kshanam.”
