Raagala 24 Gantallo

Story:

“Raagala 24 Gantallo” is a Telugu murder mystery film from 2019 directed by Srinivasa Reddy. It features Satya Dev, Eesha Rebba, Sriram, Ganesh Venkatram, and Musskan Sethi in leading roles. The storyline draws inspiration from Agatha Christie’s play “The Unexpected Guest.” The movie was also dubbed and released in Tamil under the title “Varappogum 24 Manikul.”

Plot

Three convicts, Vineeth, Puneeth, and Adyuth, who are facing a death sentence for committing murder and rape, manage to evade capture and seek refuge in the home of Rahul, a well-known advertising filmmaker, and his wife Vidya. To their astonishment, they discover Rahul’s lifeless body, apparently murdered by Vidya, who is desperately trying to conceal her husband’s death.

Vidya, feeling compelled to explain her actions, recounts her harrowing ordeal to the convicts. She reveals Rahul’s abusive behavior, including his unfounded suspicions of her infidelity with Ganesh, an IAS officer and her college friend.

Worse still, Rahul subjected Vidya to a secret operation to remove her uterus without her knowledge, due to his aversion to children, and coerced her into appearing in his advertisements. Driven to her breaking point, Vidya took drastic measures to liberate herself from Rahul’s tyranny by ending his life.

Amidst the chaos, as the police intensify their hunt for the fugitives, Vidya cunningly aids their escape while also questioning their motives. In turn, the convicts share their tragic backstory with Vidya. They recount their close bond with Meghana, a struggling model, who fell victim to Rahul’s lecherous advances during an audition for a controversial condom advertisement.

When Meghana resisted, Rahul subjected her to a brutal assault, prompting the convicts to intervene. However, Rahul’s influential friend, Narasimha, conspires to frame them for Meghana’s assault and murder, orchestrating a miscarriage of justice. Faced with imminent execution, the convicts escape custody and seek retribution against Narasimha.

Moved by their plight, Vidya resolves to assist the convicts in seeking justice for Meghana by eliminating Narasimha. The film culminates in a tense confrontation at Narasimha’s residence, where the four protagonists engage in a fierce struggle before ultimately prevailing and evading capture.
