Story:

“Saakini Daakini” is a 2022 Indian Telugu-language action comedy film directed by Sudheer Varma and produced by Suresh Productions, Guru Films, and Kross Pictures.

It serves as an official remake of the 2017 South Korean film “Midnight Runners” and features Regina Cassandra and Nivetha Thomas in lead roles.

The film, with music composed by Mikey McCleary, underwent principal photography from March to August 2021, exclusively in Hyderabad, before its theatrical release on September 16, 2022.

The story follows Shalini and Damini, two police trainees who become fierce rivals upon their induction into the academy.

However, their enmity transforms into a deep friendship after Shalini assists Damini during a challenging forest run.

When they witness a kidnapping one night, they take it upon themselves to investigate, despite the authorities being preoccupied with another case.

Their amateur investigation leads them to a harrowing discovery of an unfertilized egg harvesting ring operated by kidnappers.

Though their actions result in the rescue of numerous girls, they face consequences from the disciplinary committee, ultimately leading to a setback in their training.

Nevertheless, undeterred by bureaucracy, they persevere in their quest for justice, ultimately succeeding in dismantling the criminal operation and saving the victims.

Despite setbacks, Shalini and Damini’s unwavering determination and moral integrity propel them forward, reaffirming their commitment to upholding justice.
