Biography:

Hrithik Roshan, born 10 January 1974, is an actor reputed for his portrayal of a wide range of characters and is known for his dancing skills. Hrithik Roshan is one of the highest-paid actors in India and has received several accolades, some of which were for best actor. Born to film director Rakesh Roshan, Hrithik Roshan made several uncredited performances in several family projects, including some of his fathers productions. Roshan suffered from stammering since the age of six. However he was aided by daily speech therapy. Later in college, Roshan also participated in dance and music festivals.
Roshan made his debut in his father’s romantic drama Kaho Naa… Pyaar Hai (2000) playing a dual role- Rohit, an aspiring singer who is murdered after witnessing a gruesome murder, and Raj, an NRI who falls in love with the film’s heroine, played by another debutante, Ameesha Patel. The film was a roaring success and its success earned Roshan Best Male Debut and Best Actor Awards at the Filmfare Awards, IIFA Awards, and Zee Cine Awards.
Hrithik Roshan’s career suffered a brief period of commercial failures but after his role as Rohit Mehra, a developmentally disabled young man, in Koi… Mil Gaya (2003), several critics were unanimous in the praise of Roshan. This was the revival of Roshan’s career. He later starred in Krrish (2006) and its sequels as the titular superhero, and several other titles earning more acclaim for his acting prowess.
Aside from acting, Roshan has also performed on stage and starred on the dance reality show Just Dance (2011). He was also a judge on the show. Roshan has also endorsed several brands and also launched a clothing line of his own.
