Anish Kuruvilla

Biography:

Anish Kuruvilla is an Indian actor, director, and executive producer. He was raised in Hyderabad, where he was born. The Hyderabad Public School, Ramanthapur is where the actor from Malaysia completed his higher secondary education.

Anish was brought up in a traditional Malayali family. He loved theatre and films when he was a teenager. With time, his enthusiasm for the performing arts grew. Anish made the decision to try his luck in the Tollywood industry in spite of parental disapproval.

His acting career began in 2000 with the drama “Dollar Dreams.” the Telugu and English versions of the Sekhar Kammula-directed film. The film’s star, Anish Kuruvilla, played the main part. The movie garnered favourable reviews, and Anish’s portrayal of Srinu was singled out for praise.

“Dollar Dreams” earned the prize for the Best First Film of a Four-Director at the 47th National Film Festival. Later, the actor appeared in the Telugu movie “Anand.” The film was produced and directed by Sekhar Kammula.
It was the first movie ever to feature a tagline that said, “a movie that is like a cup of good coffee.” Raju was portrayed by Anish in the film. The film gained enormous popularity and later won the Nandi Award for Best Film.

Sekhar Kammula received the Best Director honour. Best Supporting Actor nominee Anish Kuruvilla received a nomination. The actor had a lengthy sabbatical from acting after “Anand,” twelve years in total. Anish said that he wanted time to be with his family and explain his aspirations when asked why he was taking a hiatus.
The actor later made an appearance in the 2016 movie “Pelli Choopulu.” The Telugu romantic comedy stars Anish as a successful businessman. In 2016, Anish made his Bollywood debut in the biopic “M.S. Dhoni: The Untold Story.”

Both the general public and the critics responded favourably to the movie. Anish made four film appearances in 2017: “Nenu Local,” “Velaikkaran,” “Jawn,” and “Hello.” In the year 2018, he appeared in the Telugu film “Tej I Love You.”
Anish chose to try his luck as a film director in addition to acting in a number of popular films. In 2008, he co-wrote and directed the Telugu drama “Avakai Biryani.” Anish directed “Ko Ante Koti,” a Telugu movie, in 2012. Anish Kuruvilla is a versatile actor and director in Tollywood. He has succeeded in the Telugu cinema business thanks to his unwavering dedication and tenacity.
