Biography:

Pudipeddi Sai Ravi, commonly known as Ravi Shankar, is an Indian actor, dubbing artist, director, and writer. He was born on November 28, 1966. In addition to Telugu and Tamil movies, he primarily acts in Kannada movies. He worked as a dubbing artist for over 3500 films, over 1000 of which were in Telugu, over 1000 in Tamil, and over 150 in Kannada.

As the actor P. J. Sarma’s son and Sai Kumar’s brother, Ravi Shankar made his directorial debut in 2004 with the Kannada movie Durgi. For more than 75 Telugu films and their 150 Tamil counterparts, Shankar worked as a dialogue writer. He has performed as a playback singer for Telugu movies like Bejawada and Rakta Charitra. He gained recognition for his role in the 2011 Kannada film Kempe Gowda,for which he won Filmfare Award for Best Supporting Actor – Kannada.

In Chennai, Tamil Nadu, P. Ravi Shankar spent his formative years. Krishna Jyothy Pudipeddi, the mother of Ravi Shankar, is a Telugu actress who has appeared in movies like Makkala Rajya and Sri Krishna Garudi alongside Kannada actor Dr. Rajkumar. Pudipeddi Jogeswara Sharma, the father of Ravi Shankar, was a dubbing artist and actor who appeared in numerous Telugu, Kannada, and Tamil films. His older brother Pudipeddi Sai Kumar started out as a dubbing artist before transitioning to acting in Kannada movies.

Shankar is wed to a Punjabi woman named Suchil, and the two have a kid named Adhvey. In 2018, Ravishankar made the announcement that he would introduce Adhvey as an actor in a Kannada film he would direct.
