TheatreDirected by Muthyala Subbaiah, Tholi Valapu is a 2001 Telugu-language drama film produced by M. Nageswara Rao under the T. Krishna Memorial Films banner. Vandemataram Srinivas wrote the music, which features Gopichand and Sneha in leading roles. Gopichand made his screen debut in this movie. Gopichand had to wait a while to be a hero in his next movie because it didn’t perform well at the box office. The movie has been dubbed into Hindi as Blast Barood (2009) and Tamil as Hari.
Prem resides in the city with his pals. His father is a rural farmer, and with some assistance from him, he fulfils his dream of owning a bike. But the first night it punctures, and since there’s no mechanic around at this late hour, Prem chooses to spend the night in a nearby house. Very attractive Soumya opens the door, and a dumbfounded and enamoured Prem manages to explain his situation before leaving the bike and keys. When he goes to retrieve the bike the following morning, he can’t find it, and the girl and her father flatly deny knowing anything about it. It makes sense that our man becomes agitated and raises a fuss, but it doesn’t help. As the narrative goes on, a thief is apprehended and confesses to breaking into the aforementioned house that evening.
However, the father is still adamantly disputing any such incident. The burglar then admits that he also molested the daughter, clearly causing some confusion. There must be a villain somewhere, and that villain is the older daughter’s husband, Kailash, the wicked son-in-law. Kailash berates the family about the police case in which Soumya, under duress, admits that she was the victim of that night’s molestation. After that, Kailash tells everyone about Soumya and even convinces her families to call off their marriage to her.
Nevertheless, despite accusations, Prem, who is in love with her, consents to marry her. Following their marriage, Soumya becomes pregnant. Kailash manipulates Prem’s parents by suggesting that the child may be a potential molester, leading them to insist that Soumya abort the child. Having no other choice, Soumya gives in and nearly has her baby aborted. Just in time, however, Soumya’s sister enters and tells everyone that she was molested that evening. Soumya took the fall for this since Kailash would never accept her sister if she had been molested. After that, Soumya’s sister severs her relationship with Kailash, and the three of them lead happy lives.
