TheatreAnaganaga O Dheerudu is a 2011 Indian Telugu-language fantasy adventure film, Prakash Kovelamudi’s directorial debut. Produced by Walt Disney Pictures and K. Raghavendra Rao’s A Bellyful of Dreams Entertainment at budget of ₹26 crore, the film stars Siddharth, Shruti Haasan, Baby Harshitha, and Lakshmi Manchu. Shruti Haasan and Lakshmi Manchu made their Telugu debut with this movie. The film features a musical score by Salim–Sulaiman and an ensemble soundtrack by an ensemble soundtrack by Salim–Sulaiman, M.M Keeravani, Koti and Mickey J Meyer. “Irendri (Lakshmi Manchu) emerges as a wizard, terrorizing the people of Anga Rajyam. A wise guru captures and frustrate her, preventing her from manipulating lives, ultimately destroying her. However, Irendri cunningly traps her own soul in a locket before her demise, ensuring her lingering presence. Generations later, her great-great-granddaughter Priya (Shruti Haasan), living as a gypsy, inherits magical powers from her sorceress lineage.
Yodha (Siddharth), a wandering swordsman with a penchant for romance, becomes enamored with Priya’s beauty and falls deeply in love. The narrative takes a dramatic turn when a local goon named Sudigundam (Ravi Babu) attacks the gypsies’ village. Yodha intervenes, defeats Sudigundam, but faces a treacherous retaliation that results in the destruction of the entire village.
During the chaos, the locket containing Irendri’s soul is exposed to fire, liberating her once again. Irendri learns that she can gain immense power with a drop of Priya’s blood. She kidnaps Priya, setting off a series of events that involve Yodha turning blind due to Sudigundam’s attack. Yodha is saved by a swami (Subbaraya Sarma) who instructs him to protect a girl named Moksha (Baby Harshitha), endowed with divine powers.
To avenge her defeat, Irendri attacks Agartha, a village in Anga Rashtram, leaving the children senseless. Druki (Vallabhaneni Ramji) travels to Pushpagiri to bring Moksha, aiming to save the afflicted children. Yodha, Druki, and Moksha embark on a journey to Agartha. Irendri, aware of Moksha’s potential, seeks her blood during a lunar eclipse to become invincible. Yodha, with newfound purpose, battles Irendri’s forces to protect Moksha and Priya. In the climactic confrontation, Yodha triumphs, destroying Irendri and ensuring the safety of the people she sought to harm.”
