Jaggu Dada

Story:

“Jaggu Dada” is a 2016 Indian Kannada-language masala film directed and produced by Raghavendra Hegde. The movie stars Darshan as the lead protagonist, with actress and model Deeksha Seth as the female lead. Rachita Ram and Pranitha Subhash make guest appearances in the film. It was released on 10 June 2016 across Karnataka.

The plot revolves around Jaggu Dada, who hails from a family of dons. His grandfather, Shankar Dada, retires from his criminal activities and urges Jaggu and his father, Veeru Dada, to do the same. However, Jaggu’s mother has other plans, wanting him to become an international don and marry a bar dancer named Champa. Before his death, Shankar Dada makes Jaggu promise not to engage in criminal activities and to marry a morally upright woman, not Champa. After Shankar Dada’s passing, his spirit begins haunting Jaggu to ensure he keeps his promise.

Jaggu Dada adopts the alias “Jayadev” and moves to Mumbai, where he meets Gowri, who runs a marriage bureau. Despite initially rejecting two potential matches, Jaggu eventually falls for a girl who sacrifices her own dreams for her parents’ happiness. However, when Gowri learns about Jaggu’s criminal past, she breaks up with him and agrees to marry another man. With the help of his grandfather’s spirit, Jaggu manages to convince Gowri of his love, and they marry, overcoming the obstacles posed by his past.
