Story:

Mukhachitram is a 2022 Telugu-language judicial drama directed by Gangadhar, including lengthy cameos by Vishwak Sen and starring Vikas Vasista, Priya Vadlamani, Ayesha Khan, and Chaitanya Rao.

Plastic surgeon Raj (Vikas Vasista) marries Mahathi (Priya Vadlamani), a rural girl who pays tuition and lives with her father. His childhood Maya (Ayesha Khan), an orphan who adores him, is his best friend. She blogs about love. Maya dies after a tragic accident one day, for which Mahathi offers her blood despite the fact that she is pregnant. Raj does plastic surgery and replaces Maya’s face with Mahathi’s due to shock and depression. He attempts to move on after marrying Maya.

By presenting Maya to Mahathi’s family, they manage to convince them that Mahathi is still alive. Maya, an orphan who has long yearned for a family, becomes close to them with ease.

When Raj leaves town for work one day, Maya discovers Mahathi’s phone and listens to the recordings she sent to her late mother. It becomes clear after listening to those that Raj killed Mahathi. She learns that Raj is a rapist who has repeatedly attempted to harm Mahathi through Raj and her mutual friend Dr. Satya, who had lust for Mahathi. He killed her when she attempted to defend herself, then staged the incident by having Maya have a face transplant.
