Story:

Pharma is an Indian Malayalam-language drama web series directed by P. R. Arun, featuring Nivin Pauly and Rajit Kapur in the lead roles. The series is produced by Krishnan Sethukumar under the banner Movie Mill and is inspired by real-life events.

The series had its premiere at the 55th International Film Festival of India on 27 November 2024 and later became available for streaming on JioHotstar from 19 December 2025.

Plot

The narrative follows K.P. Vinod, a young medical sales representative from a middle-class background who steps into the cutthroat pharmaceutical sector in hopes of building a secure life. Initially driven to achieve targets and rise professionally, he promotes a newly launched drug. However, his journey takes a troubling turn when he uncovers severe side effects linked to the medication.

As Vinod digs deeper, he is torn between his career ambitions and his ethical values. Confronted with the reality that the drug he has been marketing is causing serious harm, he chooses to challenge the unethical practices of the pharmaceutical industry. His decision pits him against powerful corporations, deep-rooted corruption, and a system that once rewarded him.

The series delves into moral conflicts, corporate exploitation, the societal consequences of dangerous medicines, and the courage of one individual striving to uphold integrity against formidable forces.
