OTTThe main character in Ken Ghosh’s 2021 Indian Hindi-language action movie State of Siege: Temple Attack is Akshaye Khanna. For ZEE5, it was produced as a direct-to-video movie. It is partially inspired by the 2002 attack on the Akshardham Temple and the subsequent hunt for the attackers. It is an independent follow-up to State of Siege: 26/11.
Major Hanut Singh and his group take part in an operation in 2001 to save a minister’s daughter, during which his best friend is killed. As a result, Hanut Singh becomes tramutized in his subsequent endeavors. The following year, a Gujarati temple is attacked and besieged by militants from Pakistan. Under Hanut Singh’s leadership, the NSG destroys the terrorists and takes back the temple.
