Akshay Oberoi, born on January 1, 1985, is an actor with Indian heritage who is active in the Hindi film industry. He began his acting journey as a child in the 2002 comedy-drama “American Chai” and later took on his first major role in the film “Isi Life Mein” (2010) produced by Rajshri Productions. Oberoi’s performances have garnered critical acclaim.
For his education, he attended Newark Academy during middle and high school. He pursued a bachelor’s degree in Theater Arts and Economics at Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore. He underwent acting training at Stella Adler in New York City and Playhouse West in Los Angeles, where he learned the Meisner technique. He studied under John Astin from The Addams Family and also took dance classes in ballet, jazz, and hip-hop at Broadway Dance Center. Akshay’s father, Krishan Oberoi, is the brother of actor Suresh Oberoi, making Akshay a first cousin to Vivek Oberoi.
