Actor Chandan Roy was born in India on December 20, 1995. His first on-screen appearance was in The Viral Fever’s Panchayat on Amazon Prime. Choona (2023), Shehar Lakhot (2023), Gulmohar (2023), and Sanak (2021) are some of his other notable works.
Roy is from the Bihar village of Mahnar. His passion in acting was spurred by his enjoyment of playing in school plays and community events. He later relocated to Patna for further education, where he attended Patna University to earn a Bachelor of Mass Communication degree. He performed in plays and was an active member of the campus theater while he was there. He enrolled in the Indian Institute of Mass Communication in Delhi to continue his education, where he graduated with a Diploma in Radio and Television.
Roy worked as a journalist for Dainik Jagran after graduating. Nonetheless, he was active with Jawaharlal Nehru University, the National School of Drama Repertory, and the Bahroop Theatre Group while he was a student at IIMC in Delhi. In 2017, Roy made the decision to leave Jagran after two and a half years of employment and relocated to Mumbai.
