Maha Sakthi

Story:

Maha Sakthi 2026 is a large-scale devotional fantasy thriller based on the 2020 success, Mookuthi Amman, which is equally giant in size and has a stunning visual presentation. This take on the story, which was directed by the veteran Sundar C and co-produced by Vels Film International, goes from the original’s social satire to a big epic fight between cosmic forces.

The story is about a dark and demonic force attempting to ruin the world, attaching itself to an innocent young prince. The imminent danger makes the beloved divine being – beautifully played by the all-time great Lady Superstar Nayanthara – to intervene directly on Earth. A majestic “God vs. Demon” battle with load of heavy visual effects, ancient palace setting and pulse-pounding action blocks, accompanied by a strong musical score by Hiphop Tamizha.

The movie brings back the beloved actors like Urvashi and Yogi Babu and manages to remain grounded even when it adopts a mythological scale, yet is warm and has a dose of humor. Maha Sakthi, which will be released globally on November 6, 2026, for the big Diwali weekend, promises to be an entertaining, multi-lingual theatrical experience for the whole family.
