Sundar C Clarifies AI Usage In Mookuthi Amman 2

Director Sundar C has responded to criticism of the visual effects in his upcoming film ‘Mookuthi Amman 2’. He clarified that AI was used in only 15 of the film’s more than 3,000 graphics shots.

Speaking at the audio launch, he said nearly 800 people worked on the project for one and a half years, including around 400 VFX artists.

He called it the most challenging film of his career and requested audiences to recognise the team’s hard work before judging the visuals.

Starring Nayanthara, the film also features Regina Cassandra, Urvashi, Yogi Babu and Duniya Vijay. Hiphop Tamizha Adhi has composed the music.

Sundar C directed the sequel, which follows Mookuthi Amman protecting a young boy. The film releases in theatres on November 6, 2026.
