TheatreUnder the Sri Sai Ganesh Productions label, Bellamkonda Suresh produced the 2004 Telugu action film Lakshmi Narasimha, which was directed by Jayanth C. Paranjee. Featuring Prakash Raj, Asin, and Nandamuri Balakrishna, with music by Mani Sharma. On January 14, 2004, the movie was released to favourable reviews and was deemed a hit. The movie is a remake of the Tamil film Saamy from 2003. Aditya Music subsequently dubbed the movie into Hindi as IPS Narasimha in 2010 and into Tamil as Latchmi Narasimman in 2021.
The movie opens in Vijayawada, which is threatened by the demonic leader Dharmabhiksham due to corruption and crime. A strong-willed police officer named DCP Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy arrives in the city and establishes his own laws. He brutally abandons everyone and arrests the goons, giving his subordinates carte blanche as long as no one is wounded. Under his rule, people are safe and secure and law and order is established. Dharmabhiksham then extends an invitation to him and informs him that he will be transferred since he declined the bribe. Amazingly, Swamy consents to comply, provided Dharmabhiksham accepts the terms and conditions.
One day, Swamy meets Rukmini, a home-seeking college student who is pure. Rukmini believes him to be a thief, but she later realises the truth and feels guilt. After several frequent encounters, develop romantic feelings. Meanwhile, in Dharmabhiksham’s gas station, people are beaten up for asking why they are pouring less gas. When Dharmabhiksham humiliates him for being his suborner, Swamy storms the area and shuts it. As Rukmini hears it and learns about his background, she despises him since she opposes corruption.
Following the conclusion of his IPS, Swamy assumes command and captures Dharmabhiksham’s group of honorable-seeking outlaws. As a result, he launched attacks that killed numerous villagers’ residents as well as Swamy’s sister. In addition, false accusations lead to Swamy’s dismissal; however, his father uses the hush money to restore his position and assigns him to the task of rebuilding the devastated villagers. That’s the reason Dharmabhiksham is unaware that he is accepting bribes. After Rukmini realises his goodness, their wedding is scheduled.
