Biography:

Livingston, widely recognized by his mononym, is an Indian actor, comedian, and screenwriter prominently active in Tamil cinema, often taking up supporting and comedic roles. His career primarily revolves around Tamil films, and he is noted for his roles as Natraj in the acclaimed movie “Sollamale” (1998), among others. He has participated in more than 150 films, consistently displaying his versatile acting skills.

In his early films like “Captain Prabhakaran” (1991) and “Sundara Purushan” (1996), he was credited as Ranjan. A significant point in his career was his portrayal of Natraj in the movie “Sollamale” (1998), which earned critical acclaim. Initially cast as villains, Livingston transitioned to lead roles with films like “Poonthotta Kaavalkaaran” (1988), “Sundara Purushan” (1996), “Viralukketha Veekkam” (1999), “En Purushan Kuzhandhai Maadhiri” (2001), and “Engalukkum Kaalam Varum” (2001). Additionally, he co-wrote the screenplays for “Kanni Rasi” (1985) and “Kaakki Sattai” (1985) in collaboration with G. M. Kumar.

During the late 1990s and early 2000s, the zenith of his career, Livingston diversified his roles, encompassing leads, antagonists, and cameos. Livingston, born into a Christian family in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, attended ELM Fabricus Hr. Sec. School up to the tenth grade before embarking on his cinematic journey. In 1997, he tied the knot with Jessy Irudayaraj in a private ceremony in Chennai. The couple is blessed with two daughters, Jovita (born in 1998) and Gemma (born in 2001).
