Story:

Puri Jagannadh wrote and directed the 2012 Indian Telugu-language political action movie Cameraman Gangatho Rambabu. The movie stars Prakash Raj, Kota Srinivasa Rao, Tamanna, and Gabriela Bertante in addition to Pawan Kalyan. The soundtrack and background score were written by Mani Sharma, and the filming and editing were done by Shyam K. Naidu and S. R. Shekhar. After 12 years since Badri (2000), Kalyan and Jagannadh collaborated once more.

On October 18, 2012, Cameraman Gangatho Rambabu was released in all countries, to mixed reviews from reviewers. The movie was then dubbed and released in Hindi as Mera Target in 2015, as well as in Malayalam and Tamil as Jananayakan and Makkalveeran.

PLOT:
Ram Prakash “Rambabu” is an irritable mechanic with a kind heart who also has a propensity to retaliate to numerous social issues shown or reported in the media. Rambabu accepts Ganga’s offer of a career as a journalist after the NC Channel cameraman gets to know him better. The former chief minister of the state, Jawahar Naidu, is assisted by his son Rana Babu, a newcomer to politics, in his efforts to topple the administration and reclaim the position of CM.

A reputable journalist named Dasaradh Ram provided evidence of the frauds and crimes committed by Jawahar Naidu before being brutally murdered by Rana Babu. Nevertheless, everyone is aware that Rana Babu is behind this, including the police. Rambabu courageously challenges him and has him taken into custody. By leveraging the media, Rana Babu challenges Rambabu to win the position of chief minister after being freed from jail with the aid of his political connections. Rambabu gets involved in politics and a conflict between him and Rana Babu develops. Rambabu is seriously injured when Rana Babu launches a movement against the presence of people from other states in Andhra Pradesh in order to get political mileage. However, he is saved by Smitha, a worker with a nonprofit organization.

After leaving the hospital, Rambabu subsequently joins Smitha’s news program. Rambabu destabilizes the movement by tricking Rana Babu into saying some contentious things on the radio. Rana Babu kills Jawahar Naidu after he gives his final speech to advance his political career; the killing is caught on camera by Rana Babu’s driver, who later phones Rambabu and Smitha to show them the footage. Smitha then shows up and shoots Rambabu. She then snatches the footage and strikes a deal with Rana Babu to reveal everything in exchange for a huge sum.

Rambabu enters the building where Rana Babu hosted a celebration for his coworkers with the assistance of the young people who were moved by his speech. Rambabu notifies the police commissioner that Rana Babu’s guests need to leave the premises immediately in order to escape being killed by those who are also killing Rana Babu. Smitha gives the order to broadcast the footage before departing, only to be killed by Rana Babu. When Rana Babu arrives outside with his gun, he kills Rambabu, but Rambabu and Ganga are able to reach the ambulance before Rana Babu is killed in a stampede.
