Indian music director Sandeep Chowta (born in 1967 or 1968) specializes in Telugu and Bollywood movies. He also oversees Columbia Records’ operations in India.He has performed some of his tunes as well.
He made the anti-substance abuse documentary Dead End in 2003, which was entered into many film festivals. Tanya Khubchandani, a drug activist and seventeen-year-old college student, created this.
Chowta became one of the primary members of the world/new age musical ensemble AO Music (commonly known as AO) in 2004 after inviting Jay Oliver and Richard Gannaway to his Mumbai studio.The Adiemus project’s voice Miriam Stockley is also featured on AO Music, together with children’s choirs from all over the world.
Since 2009, AO Music albums featuring Chowta have peaked in the top five charts across the globe.
He has written the music for 12 Telugu movies.
Chowta was raised in Nigeria after being born in Ghana and eventually relocated to Bangalore, India. He is the offspring of Bunt-born author and businessman D. K. Chowta, a Tulu. Prajna Chowta is his younger sister and an ethnographer.
