Dabangg 2

Story:

Arbaaz Khan is the director and producer of the 2012 action comedy film Dabangg 2, which was made in Hindi and distributed by Arbaaz Khan Productions. It is the second entry in the Dabangg series and a follow-up to Dabangg (2010). While Prakash Raj, Nikitin Dheer, Pankaj Tripathi, Manoj Pahwa, and Deepak Dobriyal play supporting parts, Salman Khan, Sonakshi Sinha, Arbaaz Khan, Mahie Gill, and Vinod Khanna return to their roles.

During the Christmas festival on December 21, 2012, Dabangg 2 was launched in theaters in India. In just three days after its release, it made ₹58.3 crore (US$6.7 million) nett in India, surpassing the previous record set by Salman Khan’s Ek Tha Tiger (2012). With a global box office total of approximately ₹253.54 crore (US$29 million), Dabangg 2 became one of the highest-grossing Indian films ever and the second-highest-grossing Hindi film of 2012, after Ek Tha Tiger. Box Office India referred to the movie as a “blockbuster” when it made ₹155 crore (US$18 million) in total revenue. Dabangg 3, the franchise’s third movie, came out in December 2019.

Inspector Chulbul Pandey takes over a local police station in Kanpur following the events of the last movie. He lives there with his wife Rajjo, stepfather Prajapati Pandey, and half-brother Makkhi. An assassin kills a witness in Kanpur who is set to testify against Thakur Bachcha Singh, a notorious politician and thug.

Chulbul finds the assassin and murders him in a coffee shop. Following a number of public arguments, Bachcha’s brother Genda persuades him to fire Pandey by threatening to kill Prajapati Pandey and his entire family if Chulbul continues to meddle in Bachcha’s illicit affairs. At a girl’s wedding, Genda harasses her; Chulbul shows up and requests that Genda leave. Chulbul breaks his neck and dies as a result of Genda’s refusal and continued insults.

Everyone advises Chulbul to leave Bachcha alone for the safety of his family as Rajjo falls pregnant. Before the election, Bachcha vows to exact revenge for his brother’s passing, but he is under pressure from his own party to denounce Genda’s behavior in order to protect his own and his party’s reputation. As Rajjo and Makkhi are exiting a temple, he runs into them. Rajjo is thrown off the temple stairs, and Bachcha shoots Makkhi. Rajjo and Makkhi survive, but Rajjo suffers a miscarriage.

Furious, Chulbul breaks into Bachcha’s place and murders Bachcha and all of his guys. A family shot is requested by Chedi Singh’s photographer after Chulbul and Rajjo give birth to a boy. The photographer takes a picture while they all chuckle.
