Salman Khan Clarifies Why Maatrubhumi Script Was Changed

Salman Khan launched the trailer of his upcoming film Maatrubhumi – May War Rest In Peace at a grand event in Mumbai on November 6th.

During the event, he dismissed reports claiming that the government pressured the makers to rewrite the film’s script.

He called these reports baseless and clarified that the team had simply developed a new version of the story.

The film, inspired by the 2020 clash between Indian and Chinese soldiers in the Galwan Valley, was initially planned for an April 2026 release.

It will now hit theatres on December 4, 2026. Salman said the film focuses on soldiers, their sacrifices and the struggles faced by their families on both sides.
