Plot
Govindarajulu, a carefree construction worker known as a mesthri, leads a life filled with alcohol. In contrast, his son Siddartha, a disciplined and popular TV show host, is the opposite. To curb Govindu’s habits, Siddhu arranges a marriage with Shanti.
Siddhu harbors feelings for Swetha, the daughter of prominent contractor Veerendra, a childhood friend of Govindu who currently disapproves of his behavior. Despite the strained relationship, Veerendra agrees to Siddhu and Swetha’s union with one condition: Govindu must distance himself from Siddhu to maintain Veerendra’s reputation. To ensure his son’s happiness, Govindu pretends to expel Siddhu from the house.
During the engagement, Siddhu exposes Veerendra’s condition, leading to a public rift. Swetha, seeking revenge for her father’s tarnished reputation, decides to separate Govindu and Siddhu. She apologizes to Govindu, unaware of Veerendra’s condition, and requests to be accepted as a daughter-in-law. Govindu, holding no grudges, agrees to have her in the house if it makes Siddhu happy. Siddhu, prioritizing his father’s happiness, agrees to marry Swetha.
As Swetha moves in, she attempts to create discord between Govindu and Siddhu with the help of her cousin Sathi Babu, but her efforts consistently fail. The film unfolds with the question of whether Swetha will succeed in her schemes.
