Harish Shankar 0developed a passion for storytelling and cinema from a young age. He pursued his dreams and enrolled in the Madras Film Institute, Chennai, to study filmmaking.
After completing his education, Harish Shankar started his career in the entertainment industry as a writer. He wrote dialogues and scripts for various Telugu films before making his directorial debut. In 2007, he made his first film, “Shock,” which received mixed reviews but showcased his potential as a director.
However, it was his second film, “Mirapakai” (2011), that brought him widespread recognition and success. The action-comedy was well-received by audiences and critics, establishing him as a competent director in the Telugu film industry. His next film, “Gabbar Singh” (2012), starring Pawan Kalyan, became a blockbuster hit and cemented his position as one of the leading filmmakers in Tollywood.
Over the years, Harish Shankar continued to deliver successful films with unique storytelling and engaging narratives. Some of his notable works include “Ramayya Vasthavayya” (2013), “Subramanyam for Sale” (2015), and “DJ – Duvvada Jagannadham” (2017).
