Abhilash Thapliyal is an Indian film actor, radio jockey, and TV host. He is notable for his roles as Shwetketu (SK) in “Aspirants” (2021), Chandan in “Kennedy” (2023), Sukesh in “TVF Inmates” (2017), Roxy in “Faadu – A Love Story” (2022), and Swapnil in “Raksha Bandhan” (2022).
Thapliyal started his career while studying at Delhi University and has worked with 94.3 Radio One, Fever 104 FM, and 93.5 Red FM. He has also provided his voice for TV channels such as Bindass, National Geographic, Fox History, Hungama, and Cartoon Network. He promoted a fundraising campaign for Sudhir Kumar Chaudhary, a dedicated Sachin Tendulkar fan, sponsoring his travel to the Champions Trophy 2017, which earned him a congratulatory call from Tendulkar. Thapliyal also appeared on “The Kapil Sharma Show.”
He debuted as a TV host in 2014 with the World Kabaddi League and served as the in-stadium host for Formula 1 (2013) and the Delhi Daredevils IPL team (2013-2015). He hosted the red carpet for the GiMA Awards (2016) and was the first radio jockey in India to perform live video prank calls on Facebook. Thapliyal has been the mascot for Nestle’s Get Healthy Campaign and Hindustan Times’ college and Corporate Cup for Delhi Daredevils (IPL). He also fronted Hindustan Times’s ‘Campus ka Mahayudh’.
Thapliyal made his Bollywood debut in 2018 with “Dil Juunglee,” receiving praise for his performance alongside Taapsee Pannu and Saqib Saleem. He has appeared in Google Maps TV commercials and was the face of Hotstar’s Indian Premier League campaign ‘Duggal’ in 2018.
Born on November 24 in Pauri Garhwal, Uttarakhand, Thapliyal’s father is a retired Army officer and his mother is a homemaker. He completed his schooling at Army Public School and Kendriya Vidyalaya and graduated in journalism and mass communication from Delhi University.
