Celina Jaitly, born on November 24, 1981, is an Indian actress celebrated for her work in Hindi cinema. She secured the title of Femina Miss India in 2001 and achieved 4th runner-up at Miss Universe 2001. Her debut in acting began with the thriller “Janasheen” in 2003.
Her birthplace is contested between Shimla, Himachal Pradesh, India, and Kabul, Afghanistan, to an Afghan Hindu family deeply rooted in the Indian Army. Celina, inspired by her father’s military career, initially aspired to join the army herself.
Her upbringing involved relocating frequently due to her father’s postings, leading her to study in numerous schools across India. She pursued her degree in Commerce from IGNOU, Khallikote College study center, while in Brahmapur, Odisha. Post-graduation, she briefly worked as a marketing executive in Kolkata.
Celina’s career in the entertainment industry took off after winning Femina Miss India 2001. She represented India in the Miss Universe 2001 pageant, earning recognition and several awards. Her initial foray into music videos, notably Jazzy B’s “Oh Kehri,” set the stage for her entry into Bollywood.
