Sangeetha

Biography:

Sangeetha is an Indian actress, dancer, television host, and judge who primarily works in Tamil, Telugu, and Malayalam movies. The Malayalam film industry calls her Rasika. In the middle of the 1990s, Sangeetha made her acting debut. She is most recognized for her roles in the movies Khadgam (2002), Pithamagan (2003), Uyir (2006), and Dhanam (2008).

Santharam and Bhanumathi welcomed Sangeetha into the world in Chennai, India. Filmmaker K. R. Balan, her grandfather, created more than 20 Tamil movies. Her father had also worked on a number of movies.She has two brothers. In Chennai’s Besant Nagar, she attended St. John’s English School and Junior College. Sangeetha is a Bharatanatyam dancer because she studied the dance in school.

She began her acting career in the late 1990s, starring opposite Venkat Prabhu in the unreleased movie Poonjolai. Gangotri (1997), a high-profile Malayalam political thriller, served as her debut release. Later, she appeared in supporting roles in popular movies including Summer in Bethlehem (1998) and Kaadhale Nimmadhi (1998). She appeared as a secondary lead in the 1999 films Deepasthambham Mahaashcharyam, starring Dileep, and Ezhupunna Tharakan, starring Mammootty. She also received a small part in the 2000 film Sradha, which starred Mohanlal. Her supporting performances in Pithamagan (2003) and Khadgam (2002) got her Telugu and Tamil Filmfare Awards. In Janani Janmabhumi (1997), she made her film debut alongside Dr. Vishnuvardhan, and in Nalla (2004), she appeared alongside Sudeep.

She served as a judge on Jodi No. 1 on Vijay TV. She served as one of the three judges for Jodi No. 1 Seasons 2, 3, and 4, together with Silambarasan and Sundaram, S. J. Suryaah, and Sundaram, and Jeeva and Aishwarya Dhanush.

In 2008, she served as a guest judge for the Vasantham Central Indian dance competition “Dhool” finals in Singapore. She served as the show’s anchor on Colors Tamil’s Enga Veetu Mapillai program. Additionally, she appears as a guest judge on Dhee and Jabardasth, and she hosted the Zee Telugu game show Bindaas for a short while.
