Aparna Balamurali, born on September 11, 1995, is an Indian actress known for her work in Malayalam and Tamil cinema. She hails from Thrissur, Kerala, born to KP Balamurali, a music director, and Shobha Balamurali. She completed her schooling at Devamatha CMI Public School.

Her journey in films began with her debut in “Oru Second Class Yathra” in 2015. However, it was her role in “Maheshinte Prathikaaram” in 2016 that brought her widespread recognition. Aparna’s performances in “Sunday Holiday” and “Soorarai Pottru” further established her as a talented actress, earning her the National Film Award for Best Actress for her role in the latter.

In addition to her acting career, Aparna has delved into music, lending her voice to songs like “Mounangal Mindumoree,” “Thennal Nilavinte,” and “Thanthane.”

Her career spans across Malayalam and Tamil cinema, with notable appearances in films like “8 Thottakkal,” “Thrissivaperoor Kliptham,” “Kamuki,” “Mr. & Ms. Rowdy,” “Jeem Boom Bhaa,” and “Theethum Nandrum.” She was also cast as the female lead in the Tamil film “Sarvam Thaala Mayam” alongside G.
