Plot
Ashok and Julie, lifelong friends from Hyderabad with no romantic involvement, navigate the complexities of their relationships. Ashok, marrying Nandini, initially faces tension due to Julie’s closeness. Julie, meanwhile, falls in love with Michael D’Souza, a cricket rival of Ashok’s aspiring for the Indian cricket team.
When Ashok is chosen over Michael, a deal is struck between Michael’s father and Ashok. Ashok must step down, allowing Michael to replace him in the cricket team, and cut ties with Julie for Michael and Julie’s future marriage. Reluctantly, Ashok agrees. He distances himself from Julie, who decides to leave Ashok’s house for Michael’s. Planning to move to Mumbai with Nandini, Ashok intends to sell his property and support Julie financially.
Ashok and Nandini quietly vacate their house without informing Julie. Learning of Ashok’s departure, Julie and Michael rush to the railway station but fail to find him. In a heartfelt attempt to reunite, Julie sings “Gaali Chirugali,” a familiar song, and Ashok responds, bringing them back together. Eventually, Ashok achieves his dream of playing for the Indian team. Over time, their children also become friends, and the movie concludes on a joyful note.
