Swayam Krushi

Story:

K. Viswanath is the writer and director of the 1987 Telugu-language drama film Swayamkrushi from India. Alongside Sarvadaman D. Banerjee and Sumalatha in key supporting roles, the film stars Chiranjeevi and Vijayashanti as the main leads.

The movie follows the life of an educated cobbler as he rises from poverty to wealth. The movie was dubbed into Russian and played in the special mention section of the Moscow International Film Festival.

It was also screened at the Asia Pacific Film Festival and the International Film Festival of India. For his portrayal, Chiranjeevi won both the Nandi Award for Best Actor and the Indian Express Best Actor award. For her role in the movie, Vijayashanti won the Filmfare Award for Best Actress. Dharamyudh is the Hindi name given to it.

Plot
A cobbler named Sambayya (Chiranjeevi) looks after his late sister Chinna (Arjun/Sirish) and provides for her schooling, in addition to supporting Sarada (Sumalatha), who is an orphan. In addition, he has a crush on her and plans to wed her in the future.

As things happen, Sarada marries Bhaskar (Sarvadaman Banerjee), and Ganga (Vijayashanti), who has also been in love with Sambayya, has a tubectomy so that she can wed Sambayya. She takes this action in order to be a fully committed mother to Chinna. Ganga and Sambayya overcome early obstacles to become affluent shoe owners.

After serving time in prison, Chinna’s father Govind (Charan Raj) teams up with Ganga’s father, a nasty guy, to demand a number of things from Sambayya and assert his guardianship over Chinna.

When Sambayya eventually rebels against his father, he and Chinna both go back to their humble beginnings as cobblers.
