Indian vocalist, multi-instrumentalist, and composer Pasupuleti Ramesh Naidu (1933–1988) was most known for his work in Telugu film. For the 1982 film Meghasandesam, he won the National Film Award for Best Music Direction. Three Nandi Awards went to him. In addition, he contributed to Oriya, Bengali, Nepali, and Kannada films.
His main association was with directors such as Jandhyala, Vijaya Nirmala, and Dasari Narayana Rao.[2] Among his most well-known pieces are Srivariki Premalekha (1984), Ananda Bhairavi (1983), Swayamkrushi (1987), and Sivaranjani (1978).
In the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh’s Krishna District, Kondapalli is where Ramesh Naidu was born. At the age of fourteen, Naidu received instruction in orchestration and instrumentation at the music company H. M. V., where B. R. Chopra served as his mentor. His first motion picture as a music director was Bandval Pahija in Marathi.
Krishnaveni introduced Ramesh Naidu to Telugu film for the first time in Dampatyam in 1957. He relocated to Calcutta after returning to Bombay. After getting married to a Punjabi woman, he spent almost ten years working on Bengali, Nepali, and Oriya films before making a comeback to Telugu cinema in 1972 with the release of Amma Mata.
