An Indian actor who has appeared in films in the Hindi, Bengali, and Telugu languages is Sarvadaman D. Banerjee. His most well-known role is that of Krishna in the acclaimed television series Krishna (1993) by Ramanand Sagar. In movies like Adi Shankaracharya (1983), which received the National Film Award for Best Feature Film, and Swami Vivekananda, he portrayed the title character. He portrayed a blind flutist in Sirivennela, a movie from 1986. In the 2022 Telugu movie Godfather, he played PKR, the chief minister.
Banerjee was born on March 14, 1965, into a Bengali Brahmin family in the Uttar Pradeshi village of Magarwara. He received his education at St. Aloysius School in Kanpur and at the Pune Film Institute.
He is currently doing meditation classes in Rishikesh. Banerjee supports Pankh, an NGO that offers free education to children living in slums and job training to disadvantaged women in Uttarakhand.
