Story:

Anandini Bala is the director of the Malayalam thriller drama Rachel, which stars Honey Rose. Rahul Manappattu and Abrid Shine wrote the story and script. The film “Rachel” also stars Babu Raj and Chandu Salimkumar in addition to Honey Rose. Pen and Paper Creations and Badusha Productions are the producers of the film, which is presented by Abrid Shine and co-produced by Badusha NM and Shinoy Mathew. Manoj is in charge of editing, Swaroop Philip does the photography, and Ankit Menon composes the music.

It tells the tale of an unmarried meat butcher who has devoted her entire life to a trade dominated by men. Her days start before the sun comes up, and she is surrounded by the harsh realities of her profession—the noises, the burden of work, and the silent perseverance it requires. She struggles with loneliness, social criticism, and the silent pain of unmet expectations despite her power. Her struggle is about more than just survival; it’s about identity, dignity, and the desire to be recognised outside of her profession. The movie subtly reveals her inner world, including her underlying tenacity that keeps her going despite life’s lack of consolation, her hidden vulnerabilities, and her brief moments of happiness.
