Pauly Valsan

Biography:

Indian actress Pauly Valsan has received praise for her roles in Malayalam plays and movies. Her first appearance in the Malayalam film business was in the supporting parts of Annan Thambi (2008).  Her roles in Ottamuri Velicham, directed by Rahul Riji Nair, and Ee.Ma.Yau, directed by Lijo Jose Pellissery, earned her the Kerala State Film Award for Best Character Actress in 2017.  She took home the Best Dubbing Artist Kerala State Film Award in 2022.

Born in Vypin, Kochi, India, Pauly Valsan comes from a long-standing fishing family. She is the oldest of six siblings. As a young artist, she started her acting career in theater productions. Valsan, her spouse, is a theater artist as well. The pair has two kids.  Early in the 1970s, Pauly Valsan started her acting career in theater plays. Later, in 2008, she made her Malayalam film debut in Annan Thambi, which was directed by Anwar Rasheed and starred Mammootty.
