Biography:

In the Malayalam film industry, Abrid Shine is an Indian filmmaker, scriptwriter, and fashion photographer. In 2014, he directed his first movie, 1983, for which he was awarded the esteemed Kerala State Film Award for Best Debut Director. Abrid Shine is a mother of two. His son, Bhagath Abrid, played Nivin Pauly’s son in the movie 1983 and Soubin Shahir’s son in the Malayalam film Meow, which Prema Pranth is presently slated to star in.

Abrid Shine began his career as a fashion photographer for Vanitha, a well-known Malayalam women’s magazine. In the 2009 group film Kerala Cafe, he helped Lal Jose with Puramkazhchakal. In 2014, he made his directorial debut with the Malayalam film 1983.
