Pallichattambi

Story:

The producers of the upcoming movie Pallichattambi, starring Malayalam actor Tovino Thomas, released the trailer on Sunday, April 5. The movie, which is helmed by Dijo Jose Antony, will hit theaters on April 10. “He will arrive and burn that land until nothing is left.” One by one, he will arrive to cut that land’s veins. As we enter a historical narrative set in the 1950s and 1960s, a narrator declares, “He is the rightful sovereign of that land.” In the meantime, the head priest of the Kunnumpuram church orders the villagers to locate the toughest goon in the area and bring him to their hamlet to aid in combating the abuses they endure at the hands of the government.

Thus, we are introduced to Tovino’s portrayal of the titular ruffian, a massive monster capable of fighting multiple men at once. In a few scenes, he instructs the locals in self-defense while a villainous policeman swears to destroy Kunnumpuram. A heart-pounding, grounded action-adventure tale is promised in the action-packed trailer.

Kayadu Lohar, who had her Malayalam debut in Vinayan’s Pathonpathaam Noottandu (2022), is also featured in Pallichattambi. She also appeared in the Pradeep Ranganathan-starring films Dragon (2025) and Oru Jaathi Jaathakam (2025). Sreejith Sarang is in charge of editing, and Tijo Tomy is in charge of the film’s photography. The head of the art direction division is Rajesh Menon. The screenplay was written by S Suresh Babu. Under the auspices of World Wide Films and C Qube Bros., Pallichattambi is produced by Noufal-Brijeesh and CCC Brothers. This is Dijo’s fourth project as a filmmaker. Malayalee from India (2024), his most recent movie, was a box office failure. In 2018, he made his stage debut in Queen, a university drama.
