Indian actor and director Johny Antony is well-known for his comedic Malayalam filmography. He is from the Keralan district of Kottayam, Changanassery. He was an associate of directors Thulasidas, Taha, Kamal, and Jose Thomas for approximately ten years. In 2003, Antony made his feature film directing debut with the slapstick comedy C.I.D. Moosa.
Kochi Rajavu (2005), Thuruppu Gulan (2006), Cycle (2008), Ee Pattanathil Bhootham (2009), Masters (2012), Thappana (2012), and Thoppil Joppan (2016) are some of his other directing endeavors. Antony debuted as an actor in the 2018 movie Shikkari Shambhu. The films Drama (2018), Joseph (2018), Ganagandharvan (2019), Varane Avashyamund (2020), and Home (2021) are among his acting credits.
He worked as an assistant director for about ten of the top Malayalam filmmakers when he started his career in movies. After becoming an independent director, Antony made the comedy film C.I.D. Moosa a box office success. Inspector Garud, starring Dileep and Kavya Madhavan, came next.
He directed two movies in 2012: Thappana, which starred Mammootty, Murali Gopy, and Charmy Kaur, and Masters, which starred Prithviraj, Sasikumar, Pia Bajpai, and Ananya.
