Gadar 2

Story:

Gadar 2 (transl. Rebellion 2) is an upcoming 2023 Indian Hindi-language period action drama film directed and produced by Anil Sharma, with Shaktimaan Talwar writing the screenplay. It is the follow-up to the 2001 film Gadar: Ek Prem Katha. Sunny Deol, Ameesha Patel, Utkarsh Sharma, and Aamir Naik play the key roles in the film.

It is set to be released on August 11, 2023.

Zed Studio, Sunny Deol, Ameesha Patel, and Utkarsh Sharma officially announced Gadar 2: The Katha Continues on their social media profiles on 15 October 2021 (Dusshera), confirming the release date 2022 with motion poster. The first poster for the sequel, named ‘Gadar 2,’ was released on January 26, 2023 (Republic Day), and it depicts Tara Singh, played by Sunny, wielding a hammer.A few days ago, it was reported that the film’s teaser will be released alongside Salman Khan’s film Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan, and that the teaser would be 55 seconds long, but this turned out to be a rumour.The film’s release date has also been set for August 11, 2023.

PLOT

Tara Singh comes to Pakistan during the Indo-Pakistani War of 1971 to fetch back his son, Charanjeet, who is in the thick of an anti-India campaign called “Crush India” in Lahore.

Release

On August 11, 2023, Gadar 2: The Katha Continues is slated for release in India. On June 12, 2023, the same day Gadar Ek Prem Katha celebrated its 22nd anniversary, a trailer for the film was published. On June 9, 2023, Gadar Ek Prem Katha had a new theatrical release.
