Biography:

Ameesha Patel is an Indian actress and model who predominantly works in Bollywood films. She was born on June 9, 1975, in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India. Ameesha comes from a family with a background in the film industry, as her father Amit Patel and her mother Asha Patel are both associated with the world of cinema.

Ameesha began her career in the entertainment industry as a model and appeared in several commercials and advertisements. She gained recognition and caught the attention of filmmakers, which led to her acting debut in the 2000 blockbuster film “Kaho Naa… Pyaar Hai” opposite Hrithik Roshan. The film was a huge success and catapulted Ameesha to overnight fame. Her portrayal of the lead female character earned her the Filmfare Special Performance Award.

Following her successful debut, Ameesha Patel went on to star in a series of commercially successful films. Some of her notable movies include “Gadar: Ek Prem Katha” (2001), “Humraaz” (2002), “Kya Yehi Pyaar Hai” (2002), and “Bhool Bhulaiyaa” (2007).
