Biography:

Meera Mitun, born as Tamizh Selvi in 1984, is an Indian model and actress recognized for her controversial statements and various allegations. She hails from Chetpet and holds a bachelor’s degree in microbiology from Ethiraj College for Women, followed by a master’s degree from SRM University in Chennai. She briefly worked as a researcher at Dr. Cherian’s Foundation. Her personal life includes a short-lived marriage that lasted only a few days.

Starting her career as a model in mid-2013, Mitun participated in several fashion events and beauty pageants. She gained prominence after being crowned Miss South India in 2016, but was later dethroned due to alleged misconduct. Her controversial activities led to fallout with organizers of beauty pageants, and she eventually ventured into acting, initially securing minor roles in films like “8 Thottakkal” (2017) and “Thaanaa Serndha Koottam” (2018). However, she also faced instances where her roles were edited or removed, leading to accusations against production studios and actors like Kamal Haasan.

Mitun’s outspoken nature extended to politics, as she openly expressed support for Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the Citizenship (Amendment) Act, 2019.
