Shahnawaz Pradhan

Biography:

Shahnawaz Pradhan, a prominent figure in Indian film and television, was born on June 12, 1963, in Raipur, Chhattisgarh. His educational journey led him to Ravishankar University and Government High School in Raipur. Before venturing into the film industry, he began his career in theatres, showcasing his acting prowess.

In 2008, Pradhan made an appearance in the edutainment show “Angrezi Mein Kehte Hain” on the NDTV Imagine channel. He secured a role in Colors’ “Bandhan Saat Janamon Ka” and portrayed Tota’s (played by Gaurav Gera) uncle in the comedy drama series “Tota Weds Maina” on SAB TV. In 2012, he played the character Irani in the Hindi family comic drama film “Chal Pichchur Banate Hain,” marking the directorial debut of Pritish Chakraborty. He also took on the role of KK in the TV drama “24,” the Hindi adaptation of the American series of the same name.

The year 2015 saw him portraying Haaris Saeed, the mastermind behind the 26/11 Mumbai Attacks, in Kabir Khan’s action thriller film “Phantom.” Based on S. Hussain Zaidi’s novel “Mumbai Avengers,” the film delves into the aftermath of the memorable 26/11 Mumbai attacks. “Phantom” received negative reviews and faced a ban in Pakistan after the real Haaris Saeed filed a petition to Lahore High Court. Pradhan, in real life, has maintained a low profile for security reasons. In 2016, he appeared in “Ekk Albela,” a biopic film centered on the life of actor Bhagwan Dada.
