Do Aur Do Pyaar

Story:

Do Aur Do Pyaar, which translates to “Two plus two equals love,” is a romantic comedy film released in 2024 in Hindi and produced by Sameer Nair, Deepak Segal, Tanuj Garg, Atul Kasbekar, and Swati Iyer Chawla under the Applause Entertainment and Ellipsis Entertainment Production banners. It was directed by Shirsha Guha Thakurta, who made her directorial debut. Ileana D’Cruz, Pratik Gandhi, Sendhil Ramamurthy, and Vidya Balan are all featured.

Plot

Anirrudh “Ani” Banerjee, an industrialist, and Kavya Ganeshan, a dentist, have been wed for 12 years. Even though they were married out of love, their marriage has failed since they no longer find each other exciting. In addition, they have had extramarital affairs for many years. Vikram, a successful photographer who relocated from New York to Mumbai for Kavya, is her partner. Anirrudh is with a failing theater performer named Nora. Kavya and Anirrudh are still living together, and neither of them has the courage to get a divorce. Kavya’s grandfather eventually dies of old age. Anirrudh insists on going with her to Ooty for the funeral.

Due to Kavya’s elopement with Anirrudh, which embarrassed the esteemed Ganeshan family, she and her family are no longer together. In order to perform the last rites in front of the grandfather, the family is awaiting the arrival of Karthik, Kavya’s brother who was close to him, from Los Angeles. Kavya and her father are constantly at odds with one another. After one such argument, Kavya leaves the house and Anirrudh goes with her. They go to a hotel where they used to go when dating. They get drunk and start enjoying themselves.

Late at night, after returning home intoxicated, they begin making out in a room. It turns out that Karthik had just arrived and they were making love in the same room where the dead corpse had been stored when all of the lights suddenly came on. The funeral takes place the next day, and Kavya and Anirrudh return to Mumbai. They feel extremely attracted to each other and have sex with each other after years. They start having sex with each other and start ignoring their respective affairs. Their partners start noticing this, with Vikram coming to their apartment building secretly and seeing Anirrudh.

Anirrudh and Kavya carry on this. A broker calls Kavya on her cell phone and asks Anirrudh to verify that an apartment has been booked in her and Vikram’s names. Anirrudh discovers that Kavya is having an affair after he verifies the reservation as Vikram. After meeting Kavya at her hospital, Nora, who is angry with Anirrudh, informs her that he would be leaving her. Now they have both found out about each other’s respective affairs and confront each other about it. A heated argument takes place. Anirrudh explains that he had to change after his father died and he had to take care of the business and leave his music

Kavya claims that his transformation caused them to drift apart and that he didn’t have to change. They decide to sell their apartment and get a divorce. A year later, the deal for their apartment has been finalised so Kavya comes one last time to the apartment. She gets a call from Anirrudh and he also comes to the apartment. Kavya broke up with Vikram immediately after she and Anirrduh separated and went on a Europe tour. Anirrudh and Nora’s relationship didn’t last very long once she became famous. Anirrudh and Kavya have take out dinner on their balcony and keep having fun with each other and laughing.
