Biography:

Pratik Gandhi is an Indian actor renowned for his work in Gujarati and Hindi cinema. He gained widespread acclaim for his portrayal of Harshad Mehta in the Sony LIV series Scam 1992 (2020).

Gandhi’s journey in the entertainment industry began with his participation in the Gujarati play Aa Paar Ke Pele Paar. He showcased his talent in the Gujarati film Bey Yaar (2014) and in stage productions such as Mere Piya Gaye Rangoon, Hu Chandrakant Bakshi, and Ame Badha Sathe To Duniya Laiye Mathe. Notably, in Mohan’s Masala, he delivered a monologue in English, Hindi, and Gujarati on the same day. His breakthrough came with the lead role in the National Award-winning Gujarati film Wrong Side Raju (2016). He continued his success with commercially successful Gujarati films like Love Ni Bhavai (2017) and Ventilator (2018).
In 2020, Gandhi mesmerized audiences with his portrayal of stockbroker Harshad Mehta in the biographical drama web series Scam 1992 directed by Hansal Mehta. His performance received widespread critical acclaim.

Transitioning to Hindi cinema, Gandhi starred in the 2021 film Bhavai, where he played the lead role, although the film received mixed reviews. His subsequent Hindi film, Atithi Bhooto Bhava, was released in 2022. Additionally, he appeared in the Gujarati film Vaahlam Jaao Ne (2022).
Gandhi’s upcoming projects include the Hindi film Dedh Bigha Zameen, written and directed by Pulkit. Moreover, director Hansal Mehta announced a multi-season biographical web series on Mahatma Gandhi in which Pratik Gandhi will play the lead role.

Born on 28 April 1980 in Surat, Gandhi was raised by parents who were teachers. He completed his schooling at V. D. Desai Wadiwala (Bhulka Bhavan) High School in Surat and pursued his passion for theatre arts during his time in Surat. He graduated with a degree in Industrial Engineering from North Maharashtra University, Jalgaon in 2004. Following this, he worked with the National Productivity Council in Satara and Pune from 2004 to 2007. He then joined Reliance Infrastructure (cement division) in Mumbai, where he worked until 2016. Gandhi tied the knot with actress Bhamini Oza in 2009, and they welcomed their daughter Miraya in 2014.
