Indian fashion photographer Atul Kasbekar was born on April 22, 1965 and is well-known for his Kingfisher Calendar photos. Through his association with Ellipsis Entertainment, he produces Bollywood films and owns Bling! Entertainment Solutions and Corporate Image.
Atul Kasbekar was born in Mumbai, where he attended Jai Hind College (University of Mumbai) and Campion School. He then enrolled in UDCT (now the Institute of Chemical Technology), Mumbai, to study chemical engineering, but left in his second year to pursue a career as a photographer after consulting Gautam Rajadhyaksha. He received his degree from the US Brooks Institute in Santa Barbara. Dennis Gray, Ron Slenzak, James B. Wood, Jay Silverman, Jay P. Morgan, Bill Werts, and David Le Bon were among the photographers he trained under in Los Angeles.
